I came into 1step as a broken girl holding on by a thread the words "I believe in you" saved my life. I was a troubled girl with an addiction I had no understanding about. I was using alcohol to suppress my feelings daily and believe there was no way out of the hell I was living in. I was given a way out and it took me a while to take a chance and surrender to become the person I am today. It took for me to lose everything. The one thing I didn't lose is the belief from 1 step recovery. Today I am living a life that is beyond words. I'm not guna say the desire to use has been taken away from me but what I can say is 1 step has given me the tools to work through the desires and be clean and sober living life on life's terms. The groups 1step provide everyday have made me the women I am today they give you a safe space to open up and also offer a number of other things. I done the EDMR Therapy and it was a life changing experience. I found myself during this and will be forever thankful. Today I am able to live I am a present mum not every day is a good day but the good out way the bad and I believe in myself witch I never thought I ever would. I have worked on myself very hard the past 2 years and I can't wait to see what the future holds. This is coming from someone that couldn't even get a hour clean. I can't thank 1 step enough for not only giving me a life I want to live but they have given three children their mum back a father and mother there daughter back they have helped me to brake a generational cycle. 1 step is not just somewere to live it is a family and I love my 1 step family. Forever grateful to all staff at 1 step Thank you all
